Old Town Bed & Beakfast was constructed by Maybelle A. and Arthur W. Berry about 1936, the business was originally called "Berry's." The ground floor served as a grocery while the second floor consisted of hotel rooms. In 1989, a group of local artists began renovation on the "Post" to include a gallery on the first floor. Today the Bunnell Street Gallery represents fine art work produced in Alaska. Many of the original characteristics of the building remain the same, in an effort to preserve those qualities which give it a special place in history. Your host, Asia, is an experienced Alaskan outdoor local who fishes, hikes, gardens, guides, berry picks and story tells about growing up in Homer. Looking for birds? Asia will know where to look and can be your guide.

Your hosts are lifelong Alaskans, the children, and grandchildren of Pioneer Alaskan adventurers. I especially enjoy watching the waterfowl that spend their summer along our waterfront reserve. Our home is as close to living in the Alaskan 'bush' as one can get and still be 5 minutes from restaurants and shops. It is the perfect combination for privacy and convenience. Nestled into a private, wooded, waterfront setting is a taste of Old Alaska with the comfort of hot water and indoor plumbing. A stay in this lovely log cabin retreat offers the chance to get away from the rush of modern life without having to go too far into the woods. Located one mile from the famous Santa Claus House in North Pole, Alaska North Pole Cabins are only 15 minutes from Fairbanks.
